How to Manage Google Ads from Claude with the Adrex MCP Server

Managing Google Ads usually means clicking through a dense dashboard. With the Adrex MCP server, you can do it from Claude (or Cursor, Codex, or any MCP client) in plain English.

What is an MCP server?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants call external tools. The Adrex MCP server exposes your Google Ads and Meta Ads accounts as tools the assistant can use — safely.

Setup in under 5 minutes

  1. Sign up at adrex.ai and connect your Google Ads account via OAuth.
  2. Generate an API key in Settings.
  3. Add the server to Claude Code:
claude mcp add -s user adrex-ai -e ADREX_API_KEY=your-api-key -- npx -y adrex-ai

That's it. Your credentials stay on Adrex's servers — they never touch the MCP client.

What you can do

  • Report: "Show me my Google Ads performance for the last 7 days."
  • Optimize: "Pause the campaign with the lowest ROAS."
  • Create: "Create a Search campaign for our summer sale, $50/day." (Campaigns are created paused for your review.)

Safety first

Every campaign and ad is created paused, spend-starting actions return warnings, and read operations run freely. You stay in control.
