Using Adrex

The web dashboard at adrex.ai. Everything here works on its own — you only need the MCP server if you also want to drive it from an AI assistant.

Getting started

1

Create your account

Sign up at adrex.ai/signup with an email and password, or continue with Google. Note which account you used — if you later connect an AI assistant, it has to be the same one.

2

Connect Google Ads and Meta Ads

Go to Settings → API Connections. Click Sign in with Google or Connect Meta and approve access. Adrex holds the OAuth tokens; it never sees or stores your password, and you can disconnect either platform at any time from the same screen.

Meta connections expire after about 60 days and Meta issues no refresh token, so there is nothing to renew silently. The card shows “Expiring soon” from seven days out and “Expired” after that, with a Reconnect button. Google refreshes itself and needs no attention.
3

Pick the ad account you want to work in

If your login has access to more than one ad account, use the account selector in the top bar. Everything — campaign lists, metrics, rules, the agent — is scoped to the selected account, and the choice is remembered between visits.

4

Review your campaigns

Open Campaigns. Your live Google and Meta campaigns appear together with current spend and performance. Nothing you do in Adrex changes a campaign until you explicitly act on it.

What's in the app

Three items in the sidebar: Campaigns, Optimize and Settings. Optimize is a hub for the four tools below.

Campaigns

Every Google and Meta campaign in one list with live spend, clicks, CTR, conversions and ROAS. Open one for its full history and day-by-day charts, pause or resume it, or change its budget. Campaigns → Compare puts two side by side.

Budget Rules

Standing rules that run against live performance — "pause anything over ₹800 cost per lead", "move budget to the campaign with the best ROAS". Write them in plain English or start from a template. Every action a rule takes is logged and can be reverted.

Campaign Agent

The autonomous option: it reviews your campaigns on a schedule, decides what to change, and applies it within guardrails you set — maximum percentage change, budget floors and ceilings, and a cooldown between actions on the same campaign. You can require approval so nothing executes until you click through it.

A/B Testing

Run controlled experiments on creative, budget, audience or bidding, with variants tracked against each other over time.

Running the Campaign Agent safely

The agent can move real money, so it is built to be constrained rather than trusted. Before you turn it on:

  • Start with approvals required. The agent queues what it wants to do and nothing runs until you approve it. Watch a few cycles before letting it act on its own.
  • Set guardrails: the largest percentage change it may make at once, and the lowest and highest daily budget it may set. These are enforced server-side, so they hold even if the model asks for something outside them.
  • Set a cooldown so it cannot repeatedly act on the same campaign within a short window.
  • Read the decision log. Every cycle records what it saw, what it decided, and why, so you can audit any change after the fact.

What Adrex will and won't do

  • New campaigns and ads are created paused. Nothing spends until you resume it.
  • Budget changes and deletes are checked server-side against your guardrails, not just in the browser.
  • Every automated change is written to an audit log with the reason behind it.
  • Your ad-platform tokens stay on Adrex's servers and are never exposed to the browser or to any AI client.
  • Disconnecting a platform in Settings stops all access to it immediately.

Plans and usage

Plans are metered by tool calls per month, shared across the dashboard and any connected AI assistant. Your current usage is on Settings → Plan & Billing. When you hit the limit, calls stop with a message telling you so rather than failing silently. Upgrades take effect immediately.

Troubleshooting

  • No campaigns showing: check the account selector in the top bar — you may be looking at a different ad account. If it is empty, the platform is not connected yet (Settings → API Connections).
  • Meta says Expired or Expiring soon: Meta tokens last about 60 days and cannot auto-renew. Click Reconnect on the Meta card.
  • Metrics look wrong or ROAS is missing: that usually means conversion tracking on the ad platform, not Adrex. Check that conversion actions are recording before trusting any cost-per-conversion figure.
  • A budget change didn't apply: the ad platform can reject a change — shared budgets, amounts below the account currency minimum, or campaigns managed elsewhere. The error message names the reason.
  • The agent isn't doing anything: check it is enabled, that approvals aren't waiting on you, and that its guardrails leave it room to act.
